Post Office highlights lapsed life insurance

Wed, 06 Jan 2010

According to Post Office research, one in 12 people in the UK has allowed their life insurance policy to elapse. Furthermore, one in seven over 65s have let their life insurance policies fall behind.

The Post Office has taken the opportunity to remind UK consumers how important life insurance cover really is. Life insurance protection guards against the worst, and can help families deal with debt and mortgage repayments in the event of a tragedy.

Renewal date for a life insurance policy gives consumers the chance to re-evaluate their life insurance cover to make sure they remain fully protected. If life insurance circumstances change, life insurance cover also needs to change to include extra cover.
