According to life insurance news, millions of children in the UK are having their financial future left to chance. More and more parents are failing to get adequate life insurance and critical illness insurance cover to protect their offspring.
The life insurance company Bright Grey conducted a study and found that seven million parents in the UK did not have an insurance policy in place to protect their children.
Some 1.6 million parents in Britain had not even considered how their family would cope financially if they lost their income or passed away.
The proposition director at Bright Grey, Roger Edwards, reportedly commented: "People might be shying away from sorting out cover because it seems a time consuming task or an expense they don't need at the moment, but the cost of life cover has been falling over the last few years."
