Stop smoking to see life insurance costs fall

Thu, 12 Feb 2009

A life insurance broker has pointed out that stopping smoking could save serious money when it comes to looking for a new life insurance policy or renewing a current policy.

Insurance broker Cavendish Online made it clear that as well as boosting health, stopping smoking would almost certainly save money on life insurance . Even stopping for a year could low life insurance rates .

This type of small saving, both from not buying cigarettes and from getting cheaper life assurance premiums, is increasingly important in the current economic climate. Cavendish broker Ian Williams was reported as commenting: "This year, people will need to save money wherever they can, and rebroking your life assurance policy could save you thousands of pounds. If you have managed to go twelve months without smoking, then switching your life assurance will be relatively painless by comparison."
