Life insurance for the troops

An increasing number of soldiers are choosing life insurance policies in addition to the funds provided by the Ministry of Defence in the event of death.

The armed forces and the insurance industry recently agreed that more personnel in the military are seeking life insurance . The Defence Analytical Services Agency has found that over half of the military deaths last year were down to accidents.

Some specialist insurance companies offer special insurance policies including life insurance to people in the armed forces. Life insurance can be available for a cheap price every month, although age, health and occupation will all influence life insurance premiums .
