Insurance company and financial services group Prudential have conducted new research into how people view their life insurance policies . Despite research last year that said people would rather insure their mobile phones then their life, life insurance was actually confirmed as being of great importance by the vast majority of people.
The company found that people would much rather give up their non-essential pleasure items, include their mobile phones, than their essential insurance such as payment protection insurance or life insurance .
Over a third of all respondents claimed that life insurance was their most important policy. The chief executive officer of PruProtect, Sammy Rubin, reportedly commented that people are likely to cut down on their expenditure in the wake of the recent credit crunch.
