Nationwide to offer life insurance products

According to reports in the life insurance news, Nationwide Building Society are intending to offer a full range of insurance policies and protection products from leading insurance company Legal and General . Nationwide Life, previously the life insurance arm of Nationwide, will no longer write life insurance policies .

The new insurance products will include a Family Life Insurance Plan, Critical Illness Cover and Standard Life Cover. The director of insurance and investments at Nationwide, Robin Bailey, reportedly commented: "Our new link with Legal and General enables us to launch innovative new policies like the Family Life Insurance Plan to protect young families."

The L&G products will accompany over 55s life insurance, provided by AXA Sun Life, income protection, provided by Norwich Union Healthcare, and MPPI, provided by Aviva Insurance.
