Life insurance guarantee

According to reports in the life insurance news, leading insurance company Norwich Union has offered consumers a life insurance protection promise.

The launch of the ‘Protection Promise’ applies to mortgage life insurance and term life assurance . Policyholders with either of these life insurance products will receive the following benefits:

Free life insurance cover between application and the acceptance of the life insurance policy . Furthermore, the amount payable on the death of the policyholder will be twice the sum assured or £1 million, whichever figure is lower.

The Head of risk products at Norwich Union, Lawrence Jackson, reportedly commented: "The Protection Promise is a great development for our customers and advisers. By placing customers 'on risk' as soon as we receive an application we are giving them security and peace of mind throughout the application process."
