Life insurance customers express satisfaction

According to a new study, most consumers with long-term insurance policies including life insurance cover are satisfied with their insurance cover .

The Association of British Insurers gathered data that indicated 85 per cent of customers thought that they were treated fairly by their insurance company .

Furthermore, 53 per cent believed that the insurance industry enjoyed and excellent reputation, up on the same result last year. The director of life and savings at the ABI, Maggie Craig, reportedly commented:

"The results show that the insurance industry is making some progress in improving customer experiences. Industry guidance for companies has been rolled out, including on product design, management information and complaint handling . Companies are working to improve their written communications with customers."
