M&S number one for life insurance

Tue, 17 Jul 2007

Marks and Spencer, one of the successful supermarket financial services crossover providers, have scooped two major awards for their credit cards and life insurance products.

M&S took out two top categories at the Your Money Direct Awards 2007, largely because of their popularity amongst consumers. They were voted best credit card provider for the second consecutive year, and just one year after launching their life insurance policy scooped the top slot for best life insurance provider.

M&S life insurance apparently offers numerous benefits, not least the value of its premium payments. High customer service levels were also praised. The chief executive of M&S Money, Brendan Cook, reportedly commented: "What makes these awards really special is that they are judged by Your Money's readers, so they represent the true feelings of our customers and potential customers. We're especially pleased with our double win, for M&S life insurance and our credit card for the second year running."
