Life insurance product relaunched

A new product from Synergy Financial Products Limited is set to enter the life insurance market. The Synergy Protect product has elements of life insurance, critical illness insurance and income protection insurance. All elements of the plan are underwritten by Prudential Assurance .

There are a number of changes to the product. These include the new critical illness definitions released by the Association of British Insurers. The premiums are likely to be cheaper, and there are increasing discounts for customer loyalty.

The maximum plan term is also changing, from 40-51 years, due to changes in the mortgage market. Children will also be covered for free for critical illness. For the unemployment insurance aspect of the product, policy holders will be covered back to day one.
