Specialist life insurance from RPS

Mon, 29 Jan 2007

The specialist life assurance intermediary Risk Placement Services have released a series of reasons why a customer might not be able to get a standard life insurance policy . According to RPS, choosing a specialist such as their company could avoid excess premium payments or a total decline of cover .

The factors that RPS mentions include:

People who are overweight

People who are diabetic

People who have experience of high blood pressure

People with serious health problems in the past

People who have a family history of adverse health

People with current health problems

People whose occupation is high risk

People whose hobbies are considered high risk

People who live permanently abroad and cannot obtain UK life cover

The managing director of RPS, Mike Hosie, said: "If a person fits one of the above descriptions, some companies may rate them, or worse decline the application altogether. RPS, with its leading panel of life insurance companies, is ideally positioned to assist in placing such non-standard cases."
