Greenbee, the direct financial services company created by the John Lewis Partnership, have teamed up with the insurance company Friends Provident in order to sell life insurance in the UK.
Greenbee are a direct services company, which offers travel, leisure and financial services products. The life insurance will be available either online or by phone, available to the 8 million plus customers of John Lewis and Waitrose. A new bi-monthly magazine called Source will advertise the life insurance.

The managing director of Greenbee, James Furse, said: "We are excited to be launching Greenbee and are delighted that Friends Provident is joining us in this venture." The company is not the first to enlist the help of an insurance company to market products to their customers.
