Sainsbury's Bank, the financial services department of the popular supermarket chain, has slashed premiums on life insurance policies, for the duration of the term. The discount, which could save a fortune over the length of a policy, is only available when bought online before the 27th February 2007.
Sainsbury's Bank is one of the many supermarket branches that has opened up to selling financial services products such as insurance . Because of distribution networks and economies of scale, supermarkets can often offer cheaper policies than other companies . Sainsbury's Bank are apparently one of the cheapest on the market, with some of their policies starting from around 5 pounds per month.
The life insurance manager of Sainsbury's Bank, Claire Moyles, said: "Life insurance can help provide great peace of mind in the knowledge that your dependents could receive a cash lump sum if you were to die during the term of the plan. Quality cover does not have to be expensive and right now you can save an extra 5% online with us."
