Legal & General warn UK about heart problems

Fri, 23 Feb 2007

Legal and General, one of the foremost insurance companies in the UK, have clearly advised British people to stay aware of the risks faced by heart disease .

The heart is the major organ in the body, and unfortunately one of the most prone to illness. L&G, primarily a health insurance company with life insurance interests, warn that heart attacks are not only a threat to the elderly. According to their figures, around 460,000 people under the age of 65 suffer from heart attacks in the UK every year.

The incidence of heart conditions amongst both the middle-aged population and younger indicates that critical illness insurance cover should take a high priority. With other diseases, such as diabetes, constantly growing in prevalence, now could be the time to look into critical illness insurance .
